MY WAYFARING WAYS:

TWISTED WAYS AT DWA ROCKS!

DWA DANCE CLUB AND PARK
OWNERS: SMITHY AND JOEY WILLIAMSON

So, where do you want to go for a fun time, great tunes, and a large family of friends? DWA Rocks! The best sports bar to go to that host an array of games, tunes, and the enjoyment of talking on mic with all your friends.
The large sim is decorated with beautiful landscaped trees, bushes, and benches to get that perfect shot with your special someone.  Beyond the vibrant outdoor decorations, the bar offers a great atmosphere with dj’s and hosts that make you feel welcome as soon as you land.
I love how you can come and enjoy a fun and enjoyable night while talking to all your friends on open mic.  You get to enjoy the best of both worlds of rocking with great tunes and joking around with all your friends.
Along with the great bar atmosphere, DWA offers 5 different areas to enjoy oneself: The Dragon Boutique, Softail’s Raceway, The Carnival, DWA Event Area, and Mini Golf Course.
Every day there are dj’s between the hours of 12pm to 2am, but this Monday, DWA has a special event planned in their Carnival Park.
You’ll need to hit the Carnival Park with a bunch of friends and take a spin on all the rides.  Joey specially searched all of SL to get the best rides to place on the sim.  From haunted houses to rides that will make one’s head spin, the sim offers 15 plus rides that you’ll fully enjoy.
I rode several while exploring, but enjoyed the realistic feel of The Flight of the Vampire and The Kraken.  Once strapped in and in mouse-look, the rides take off and plunge you into twisted rides that tilt you side-ways and flip you upside-down too.

This Monday, 18, 2016, DWA is going to kick off the night with a special event. At the DWA Event Area, the night’s festivals will begin with a tribute concert of Black Sabbath 1978 sponsored by No Name Productions at 6pm to 8pm. Then into the night, live music performances will be made by Loreen Legion at 8pm an AMforte Clarity at 9pm.
You’ll need to come early and discover all the DWA has to offer and ride all the carnival rides until your Avatar pukes!!  Check out the pics and I’ll see you there!

MY WAYFARING WAYS: OHHHH The DESTINATIONS You Can Go!

After a long and grueling day of regular work in a small forgotten town, I'm able to come home, slip into a newly received Rfyre outfit and shades, and go hit the Destination Guide.
DESTINATION GUIDE??  Yes, I'm a nerd that actually uses these great resources that are provided at my fingertips! I, of course, invited Thorne Miklos along in my endeavours!

Our first destination: The Museum of Natural History

I chose to go here because of 2 things: DINOSAURS AND BRYN OH! Currently, Bryn Oh has a statue exhibit on the upper floor.  Thorne and I were so enraptured by the 3-D atmosphere to give us a feel that we actually were walking into the original museum. Upon arrival there is a little monkey dude greeting and from there on out, more surprises await the go-see-er. The models are built with great texture, color, and detail. Some have interactive boards to make them roar, bite, and open and shut their eyes.  With tails wagging on some, the dinosaur displays are dynamic and catch ones attention quickly!  And, the best part...they are sit-able.  My stock question, if anyone knows me well, "Can I sit on it?"  Well, happy to report: YES YOU CAN!  The build is easy to explore and navigate.  It uses the traditional hallways of glassed-in exhibits one would find in real life.  Bryn Oh's exhibit is an eye-opener, so make sure the particle emitter feature is turned on! My most favorite was the dragonfly. I will have to go back and purchase some of these sculptures!  Destination Dinosaur was a great hit. Throne and I loved it!

Proceeding onward, our adventuring seeking souls set out to see the Abyss!  At the Abyss Observatory a see through tube plunges down into the depths of the ocean to display all the beautiful sea creatures of the water.  This vast observatory is connected by tubes and elevator rides that lead to each section and allow visitors to walk under water to view all the sights.  It also has a dedicated section that displays the historical progression of subversive vehicles used to explore and collect underwater samples.  In addition to all of the intricate beauty, there are special little surprises along the way! Not to spoil all the fun, but visitors should watch out for that touchy-feely squid!  This exhibit is so packed with stations and information that Thorn and I plan to re-visit just to make sure we didn't miss anything the first time!  The sim is easy to navigate and the ocean comes to life with all the creatures swimming and interacting with each other.  This observatory is makes the top of my list in exploration and real-life history and information! Here are some great pics collected:

OUT AND ABOUT!! LET'S GO SIM HOPPING...

OUT AND ABOUT~SIM HOPPIN'

HIGHLIGHT OF THE EVENING: WHISPERING WINDZ
HIGHLIGHT OF THE EVENING: WHISPERING WINDZ

Sooo...My friend and I went sim hopping again and found some cool sites to see. The first was New Tokyo. New Tokyo was filled with malls, but I found a little pin-ball arcade place that had some fun carnival games and Ride The Whale. NEW TOKYO

Next was the highlight of the evening, we were able to visit the Sim that's created by the Club Owner of CTO, Cranston Yordstorm. This site is AWESOME SAUCE!! He has so many adventures and things to visit, we will have to go back to enjoy all of it. There's a river rapid ride, a balloon ride, log cabins, places to chill and relax, and it's surrounded by carefully crafted trees, water, and a beautiful skyline picturing the Aurora Borealis. He has placed easy tp stations at each destination and simplified traveling to each spot. Please do go and enjoy his vision of beauty in Second Life!

NEW BEGINNINGS

I have always loved music! I was the girl that had a myriad of cassette tapes that ranged in many different genres. I had alternative, big-band, country, jazz, blues, rock, heavy metal, pop-rock, soul; you name it, I had it! Do you remember the old brown cassette tape case that could hold about 30 cassette tapes?

I had 4 of them in my car during high school and added cd collections when I was in college for all my friends’ listening experiences! So, when I started Second Life, I found the Live Music scene. I represented a few musicians and helped behind the scenes with a lot of Live Music events in SL. Now, I’m taking a break from promoting any musicians on Second Life, but I still am connected to the music scene. Other than Live Music, I’ve been listening to more DJ’s on Second Life, exploring great sims, and touring some great art galleries. These new interests has lead me to want to help my friend with his spot on a Live Radio Station called Crim Radio at http://crimradio.rocks/.
Please check out the website, they invite new artists and their music, so SL musicians could get more song exposure during his show! You can also view more information on his Facebook page: DJ Thorne at https://www.facebook.com/djthornerocks.
